Current status: Hiatus On a hopefully brief hiatus. Quite a few things I think need fixed or rewritten and I just don't have the time. Still have some chapters stocked up as well but want to go over those too. Thanks for reading thus far and hopefully can continue soon. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jason Cahill didn't ask to wake up in the Pokémon world. He didn't ask to be stranded somewhere in Hoenn with no money, no valid ID, and no idea how he got here. He definitely didn't ask for the attention of Champions—or the trouble that comes with knowing things he shouldn't. But here he is—armed with half-remembered game and anime knowledge, a cover story about amnesia, the clothes on his back, a now-useless phone full of music, and a stubborn refusal to die in a world where some of the wildlife can level cities. His plan is simple: survive. Maybe earn a few gym badges along the way. Try not to think too hard about the life he left behind. It's not a great plan. But it's all he's got. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Some initial disclosure: I do use Claude for proofreading and occasional wording suggestions if I'm not sure on something or think it sounds off. Nothing whole-scale. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- A Pokémon isekai featuring tactical battles, found family, and a protagonist who's making it up as he goes. Pseudo-self-insert. Starts in Hoenn around when Team Magma and Aqua begin stirring up trouble, with plans to continue beyond. A blend of game and anime canon. This is my first fic—feedback and constructive criticism are always welcome! Inspired by fics like The Type Specialist and Borne of Caution. The plan is for 3 chapters a week after posting the first full act, about 20 chapters (most likely Mon-Wed-Friday), but that may change depending on what happens IRL (work, family, etc). May post more than one chapter some days if I feel one was too short or the next chapter will provide more entertainment/context to the story. Thanks for reading, and I hope you enjoy the journey! NOTE: The fiction cover is from an art piece I commissioned on Fiverr. I can post the whole picture eventually but it has some pretty major spoilers for the Pokémon I want on Jason's team.
