He just wants to raise a family in a quiet town. After escaping the Cult of Dread, Jevrick sought a peaceful life in the quiet town of Maplebrook. So what if he looked a little evil? Sure, he might have killed a few peasants, but that was an accident! Oh well—guess he’ll become the mayor. As he works to get this town to love him, or at least stop hiring adventurers to kill him, he’ll discover that running a village of living people is much harder than one of the dead. Rock worshipping paladins, cook-out daemons, and disgruntled old colleagues keep finding their way to his door—and he’d very much like it to stop. Well, he’ll get all of the blood out of the flower beds eventually. === What to expect: - A magic system with clear restrictions and mechanics (sure, the protagonist is very powerful, but even he has rules he must mechanically follow). - Systems are explained over the course of the first and second act as they become relevant. - Not a murder hobo… on purpose, anyway. Whoops. - Some set up: First act is about unlocking the town, second act onward is about restoring/building/advancing the town.
