Elemind [Superhero fantasy]

In a world of superheroes, Max is an ex-criminal teenager with no magic. Struggling to survive without the crime lord who once looked after him, Max has fallen in with the Cult of the Dawn: an organization of fanatics who plan to bring back the Emperor of Atlantis from his centuries-old prison. When he meets a strange super who is trying to take down the Cult, Max is willing to help him. Unfortunately, this results in Max getting an Atlantean gauntlet stuck on his arm that he can't remove. Worse, it appears to be synchronizing to his mind. Now Max is on the run from the Cult and its terrifying psychic leader, who wants his gauntlet back. The strange super, Indal, is part of a network of supers with ties to the original power of Atlantis. They want to defeat the Cult and the evil Emperor, too. But can even their formidable powers protect Max, and Zero, the superweapon?
