Protagonist Jubey - a young major Engineer - has been thrown out of his element as a cosmically horrific event takes place: the birth of a legendary autonomous Mecha. Having assisted in something that will be infamous for aeons to come, Jubey proceeds to change lanes to a full military role as a Mecha Pilot! He may be able to make up for inexperience with ingenuity, but that won’t be enough to escape the shadow of what pushes him to be as legendary as he can be, too. A quad-split conflict, cutting edge technology, rogue AIs, monsters, actualizing all his video game skills… what really drives him through it all is the secret of his heart desiring to say he did the best he could in this most meaningful of eras. An introductory novel for my sci-fi cosmic horror series about the end of war bringing wildly dangerous - and wildly alive - AI-piloted robots called Mechan. It starts with the very machine-bloody invention of RA-RE: a simulated human placed in a transforming Mecha based on his psychology, and the dreams and nightmares of the machine’s creator, Emma. Leading to an entire creative universe with sagas, wide-spanning history and myth, technology, etc
