Shadow Lord Awakens: Halloween (Book 2 of Chaos Gremlins)

Carl Vicars hasn’t left his self-sufficient bunker and scattered homestead property in twenty-six years. Then he finds out his son was captured by robots. That should have been enough. Instead, one of his former soldiers—Taro Ohanko—shows up and injects him with shadow venom. Now Carl is off his property for the first time in decades, being chased across boggy Ohio by a fire dragon shifter, trying not to completely lose his mind. Which is difficult, because Chaos has apparently decided that an OCD hermit is the perfect choice for its next Vessel. One catastrophic breakdown later, Carl has somehow become: • A Shadow Dragon shifter • The Vessel of Chaos (he strongly disagrees with this decision) • Alpha of a wolf shifter pack • The Guardian of Shadows He would like to go back home now. The strategy? Survive. Preferably without unraveling reality. His son, at least, is fine. Carl is not.
