Born terminally ill, he spent his first sixteen years confined to a hospital bed, learning patience, observation, and how to endure pain in silence.  Death should have been the end... but instead, he awakens in another world, reborn in a healthy body of the same age. For a brief moment, he tastes freedom. Then he is kidnapped.
