A thousand years ago 11 deities, troubled by humanity's plight, deigned to grant them a special gift - the ability to manifest spirits using the power of their soul. These gifts grant their user extraordinary abilities, the strongest of which belongs only to the select few with the strongest connection to the Source - the Favored. Dahlia Rusco has reached the age of 20 without so much of a hint of Source in her soul. She has become an outcast to those who fear the worst - that she may be a Deviant, colorless and fated to be killed.
