It had been more than thirty years since VR took over the mainstream gaming scene. The handful of companies who kept investing in this nifty piece of technology rose to become one of the biggest tech giants of today. Esports now dominate global culture, surpassing nearly every traditional sport. Theo has never really shown interest in VR. Other than watching the occasional stream or world championship. He simply did not have time nor money to play them himself. After dropping out of school, he spent a lonely aimless life. Throwing himself into a work, void of any social life. One night, sleep deprived, a mistake changed his life forever… He bought the new VR module to play a new and fairly forgotten up and coming virtual MOBA, Ascendants of Valendor. For the first time in years Theo feels alive again. His passion growing ever larger by the minute he spends there, each match pulling him in deeper.
