Eighty years ago, the entire world changed. The Third Catastrophe struck, and creatures from another dimension began pouring through random portals. When all hope was lost, three mysterious giants appeared and slaughtered the monstrous invaders. In their wake, children—from infants to five-year-olds—started developing powers known as Signatures. Today, 30 percent of the world’s population are Signature users. To manage this new reality, humanity built its most important institution: the System of Signatures (S.O.S.). Founded in our darkest hour, the S.O.S. finds, registers, and trains the superpowered generation. To the public, the S.O.S. is the only shield between civilization and the nightmarish Breaches. Its heroic graduates—Responders—are global symbols of hope and strength. This story follows Theo, a young boy with no Signature. His dream is to become a Responder, but he has no power, and no hope—until the day he discovers a giant, hidden in a cave. That discovery changes everything.
