A bored God of War. Three competitive Goddesses. One world caught in the crossfire.
Valerius (the God of War) and his three sisters have been stuck in a divine living room for eons. To settle a petty dispute over who gets to choose dessert, they decide to play a game: Create a new world, populate it with four distinct races, and see whose civilization survives the longest.
The Wager is simple: Last race standing wins the prize.
But the mortals down below didn't get the memo that they are just pieces on a board. Instead of killing each other according to the script, they start evolving beyond the code.
In the West: A paranoid human blacksmith invents the steam engine to build walls against a threat that doesn't exist yet.
In the Frozen North: A gentle Giant diplomat invents the crossbow and capitalism to save his starving people.
In the Jungle: A Fairy Queen attempts to hack the magic system itself to free her father’s soul from an ancient seal.
In the Desert: A Skeleton General realizes that loyalty to a tyrant King is a death sentence for his family.
As the Deities watch from their sofa, treating global war like a reality TV show, the "pieces" begin to realize the truth: The only way to win the game is to break the rules—and unite against the Game Masters.
