Lethality Index Victor Graves was very good at killing. Too good. In his old world, he was used until the work hollowed him out—execution after execution, clean and unquestioned—until the system finally broke him and put him down instead. Death should have been the end. Instead, it was a recruitment. Summoned by the Reaper itself, Victor is sent to a world governed by an unforgiving RPG system to correct a fundamental violation: immortality. Seven stolen artifacts prevent their owners from ever reaching an ending, corrupting nations, wars, and lives around them. The Reaper cannot intervene directly. Victor can. Reincarnated into an untrained eighteen-year-old body, armed with nothing but a knife and a system that rewards survival—not heroics—Victor must hunt these artifacts through travel, investigation, and violence when there is no other option.
