Old Gods Know Fear

Two men on opposite sides of the world are under the rule of the old gods of earth which dominate unlike in our own time. The Eternal City where Vincent resides is thrown into chaos when he fails to propose to his love interest and his patron becomes the First Citizen and sovereign. Arn, by contrast, is in a dead heat to return to Aeterna after a long absence and a quick end to his exile in the ancient city of Ji in the East.  The old gods are alive and well. Yet, their power ebbs and flows with the age. A new era is upon them, and no one knows who will shape it in their image.
