Gray cat

2025, Moscow. An ordinary eleventh-grade student faces all the typical problems of life for his age. Furthermore, in school project competitions and All-Russian School Olympiads (as academic competitions for schoolchildren are called in Russia), he encounters corruption and injustice. Against the backdrop of a declining economy, family problems, and widespread corruption in gaining admission to a prestigious university and in career advancement, the protagonist stops seeing the point of any effort and begins to simply drift through life, aimlessly spending his days alone playing computer games. But then, a talking cat unexpectedly appears in his life, who out of pity decides to help the teenager see colors in his gray life. The universe is an alternative one, and the characters are fictional.
