Han Ma, the betrayed leader of the Soul Devouring Sect, reincarnates into a weak disciple at the third-rate Clearmoon sect. Retaining his centuries of knowledge, he devours souls - from rats to humans - to rebuild power, creating a network of followers, using his cultivation technique to errode their concioussnesses and make them (almost) loyal. Han Ma is a demonic cultivator who schemes through soul erosion, sacrificing allies and enemies for strength. He cares about benefits, power, knowledge & the value others can bring him. Initially, he builds lieutenants - Lei for military dominance, Kun for economic control, Shui for propaganda - creating an empire of interconnected minds that evolves into distributed immortality. I'm a big fan of Reverend Insanity's Fang Yuan, and I decided to create a novel similar to Reverend Insanity: Han Ma - The Soul Devouring Villain. People will recognize Han Ma's amoral character, similar to Fang Yuan: he sees people as resources, benefits over bonds, no redemption arcs, like Demonic Emperor and Renegade Immortal, it delivers sect politics, economic warfare, and villainous cunning without harem or moral/friendship power-ups, or plot armors.
