Rue was supposed to die in that dungeon. She didn't, but what followed her out was arguable worse. The faery hadn't seen the sun in a millennium. Empires rose and fell while she slept. Gods were forgotten. The world moved on. Now she's bored, she's curious, and she needs a guide. Rue didn't exactly volunteer.
