Weston DuPont moves his family to New Sahara on Mars, newly stationed there to investigate massacre of a high-profile family. Answers are demanded, and he must deliver while simultaneously ensuring the safety of his family from the creeping interest being shown in them from different individuals with their own agendas. In the meantime, Annie Blythe begins her training at the hands of the Viper Caste captain, Cain. As she learns how to survive in the real world, Annie discovers that, while her disappearance might be a mystery to the mainstream media and law enforcement, those who really run society are not nearly as easily fooled. Both levers trail the field
Traffic and conversion are both below comparable stories. Cadence is the first lever — stories posting near-daily reached 25 followers 17% of the time; stories posting every few days almost never did. Get the flow going, then re-check conversion.
Benchmarks: 8,060 active Royal Road stories, percentiles within the 20–49 chapters band, cohort of 2026-07-02. Conversion is measured as followers gained per 1,000 views over the recent window.
