Lady Barrick never imagined that marrying a Baron would leave her pregnant, lonely, and trapped aboard a colony starship racing toward the galactic frontier. When the SS Euphorion suffers a catastrophic failure, the survivors are forced to abandon ship and escape to an alien world, leaving vital supplies behind. Stranded on a hostile planet full of acid rain, toxic vegetation, and alien life lurking around every corner, Lady Barrick finds a connection in her husband’s right-hand woman, a strange but brilliant scientist who has always had a soft spot for her. With resources running low and her health declining, Lady Barrick realizes she is not quite as human as she thought. With a hunt for a traitor underway and thanks to the help of a certain xenobiologist, the path forward becomes a horribly simple one. Adapt and evolve, or die. Updates Tuesday & Thursdays.
