Freeblade [A Dark Historical Fantasy][Book 1 & 2 Complete]

The Holy Land is where the virtuous go to die. Good thing Aveline does not fear death. In the fires of the Third Crusade, a young and principled knight sets out to the Holy Land accompanied by the Order of the Silver Sword. Aveline has abandoned her sanctuary of prayer, turning her Bible in for blades, nun's habit for armor, raising her sword against those she perceives as enemies of Christ. After yet another soldier falls to his knees in front of her blade, Aveline’s sword remains true, but her heart begins to falter. The fragile convictions that sustained her begin to unravel. But now, as the weight of the blood on her hands grows heavier, she realises the Holy Land will not permit this nun-turned-crusader such easy repentance. And the man she has answered to for years has made it his mission to ensure her faith is shattered. Freeblade is a dark historical war drama where two children of the same war must reconcile their grievances across religious lines. In Freeblade, Vinland Saga meets Lions of Al-Rassan in this seinen-inspired fiction. And the realities of war clash with the fleeting nature of hope and the eternal struggle between human autonomy and faith in the divine. Book 1 Complete. Book 2 Complete. Book 3 Ongoing. Thank you :). Dear readers, I will be stubbing and going on Amazon in the near future, when book 3 is complete. Fair warning :), thank you for your continued support! The Amazon version will have improved prose flow, but the story will remain identical. Also, please note that Freeblade does not have an upload schedule. I write frequently, but there is no schedule.
