Freeblade

In the fires of the Third Crusade, a young and principled knight sets out to the Holy Land accompanied by the Order of the Silver Sword. Primed with steel and scripture, she holds her convictions dear to her heart, but the Holy Land is where virtue goes to die. Ava, a nun turned crusader, carries with her both her convictions and training into battle. Believing she was born to serve God’s holy army, she has dropped her Bible and raised her sword. But the Holy Land will not permit this follower of Christ such easy passage. And the man she answers to has made it his mission to ensure she never clasps her hands in prayer again. Amongst the throes of war, Ava still holds hope she will once again be reunited with her beloved, a love that was shattered by the very same man she is now forced to serve under. Freeblade is a dark, multi-cultural historical epic set in the Third Crusade. A story about faith, war, and the impossible distance between conviction and the world that tests it.
