Farm boy Aaron Thorn thought those rules were simple—until the Arcane Codex, the sapient library of all magic, assigns him a forbidden Quest: End the Codex Wars. Now armed with a flickering portable Node, a glowing stylus, and a sarcastic cloud rabbit named Nimbus, Aaron must survive corrupted dungeons, ruthless Guilds, and the rogue Codexer Wolfbrand, whose goal is nothing less than the destruction of the Node Network itself. To save his village, Aaron will have to learn a lost Discipline—the power to rewrite spells mid-cast—and master a progression system that seems determined to erase him from its pages. In the Codex, even the smallest entry can spark a war. The Codex Wars begin here. For fans of Cradle and Arcane Ascension.
