The Death Log was empty. That was the first glitch. To the casuals, The Undermines was a quaint Tier-3 instance famous for the hospitality of its Dungeon Masters. To Father Jorgen North, though, it was a crime scene. His research had flagged the occurrence of a necrotic anomaly two years ago, yet the System had recorded no death. Someone had apparently found a way to cause permadeath without leaving a trace. To solve the murder, Jorgen's produced a dossier of deleted Whisper threads, corrupted save states, and angry support tickets to help find the culprit.
