Everything yearns for freedom.
Birds. Animals. The distant stars.
Yet nothing is truly free.
Aethos is a world of potential mana, where humanity has built civilizations around forces it only partly understands. Channels, born from the ancient Crystallign Revolution, transformed civilization and forever changed what humanity could become. Mana Beasts roam beyond the borders of safety, while Hunters, scholars, nobles, and priests pursue their own paths through a world shaped by ancient knowledge and forgotten history.
Faizan is simply a curious, observant, and decidedly lazy boy from a frontier village.
His path eventually leads him to Nurmir, where his understanding of the world begins to expand far beyond its familiar borders. Dangerous Zones hide places where the rules of reality become uncertain. Ancient knowledge awaits beneath centuries of history. Noble societies, political struggles, and religions shape the present, while discoveries from the past continue to cast long shadows over the future.
And beyond all of it lie mysteries that refuse to remain buried—the nature of the Zones, the secrets behind the Crystallign Revolution, and the crossings that connect places that should never meet.
As Faizan journeys farther into Aethos, he finds a world filled with people reaching toward something they may never be able to possess.
Freedom.
And beneath the same boundless sky, everyone reaches for the stars beyond their grasp.
To Dream of Unbound Stars.
