Street Sweepers- A Pokemon OC Fanfic Set in the Gilded Age

Salem lived a hard life under the unforgiving shadows of the megafactories in Eburnean City. The 18 year old orphan started working the day he turned 12 and hasn’t stopped since. He and his Houndour, Ellie, even have to pick up shifts as Union muscle from time to time just to afford the basics. But during an Union protest against Pokemon Center fee hikes, he was brutally murdered by Tinkerton thugs.  Good news: he got better! Bad news: he woke up with a Snorlax-sized headache and an alien voice inside his head that claims to know everything about Pokemon because “he played the video games”.  Thus began his their fast-paced journey to becoming a Pokemon master with a party of Sweepers- because they charge you an arm and a leg at the Pokemon Center and socialized healthcare for your injured Tanks, Walls, and Stallers is just some commie pipedream.  AI notice: Just the cover image, because I'm too broke to afford real artists.
