Year 744 A.D., Age of the Artisan. An era of steamcraft, alchemy, and the refined study of ancient workings guides the world into a flourishing age.Across the continent, gentle skybirds follow the railways, meadow blooms shimmer under lanternlight, and forgotten artifacts quietly find their way back to scholars’ tables.Yet beneath this vibrant progress, subtle disturbances ripple through reality in ways few can explain. Many describe them as early anomalies—fine fractures suggesting tensions between Order and Chaos.Research on Uniqueness accelerates, revealing possibilities that inspire as much caution as curiosity.Academies race to interpret these signs, but each discovery only deepens the mystery.Still, the world moves forward, confident in its achievements, unaware of the quiet strain beneath its foundations.A patient shadow stretches across the era, unnamed yet undeniable. And within this shifting age, Lucien de Noctval steps toward a path that will draw him closer to its center than he ever expects.
