Snatched from Earth without warning, and worse, without cigarettes. Slick-talking Samuel Rook Merrell sought a life of adventure in the Army, but instead got caffeine addiction, military-grade depression, and a one-way ticket to an alien world full of nightmare monsters. Just your run-of-the-mill stint. When the recruiter said he could see the world, Rook assumed Earth...not whatever this was. As if navigating through the new unforgiving land and its intrusive system was bad enough, his status as a "conjured" made him a target for psychotic elves. Can he find an ally in this alien world before his ticket's punched? With nothing left to lose and armed with weak magic, Rook's only hope is to get stronger by using his Silver Tongue skill and military knowledge to exploit a system that should've been deadlined long ago. Stop the elves, save the world, and find some cigarettes. Not necessarily in that order.
