Earth ended sixty years ago, and humanity is now scattered amongst a myriad of different zones, each its own dimension, with its own threats and rules. The one Jeff currently stays at even has a damn pink sun, or something close enough to a sun, at least. He wants to leave it all behind. He fucked up and if life has taught him anything, leaving is the only option to avoid pain, that and a clean new start can help. To get that new start, he will, however, need to leave Brindgap and the friends he made in the year he stayed behind. His goal is trying to get back to the Esher zone, one he knows and left just like he plans on doing to Brindgap, but that simple plan falls through and he learns of a professor in the Brindgap zone and he has to shift plans. Now not only has he to leave Brindgap behind, but now he has to take his friends with him. Jeff is no fighter, definitely no hero, but he is a survivor, someone who managed to survive this long, nearly alone. So now he has to use exactly those skills to survive not alone but with the people he cares for.

Both levers trail the field
Traffic and conversion are both below comparable stories. Cadence is the first lever — stories posting near-daily reached 25 followers 17% of the time; stories posting every few days almost never did. Get the flow going, then re-check conversion.
