The Devil has chosen to forget. He washed up on the riverbank with no name, no memories, and a hunger he couldn't understand. Paley, a name given by the orphanage that took him in, is a blank slate. To his found family, he is a gentle brother, a prodigy, and a protector who would do anything to keep them safe. To the country of Lusitra, he is a student, a rising star masking his strength behind a façade of mediocrity. What is the strength that he hides? He wants to be an angel yet Fate wants him to be the Devil. When the fires start, will his love be enough to save his family - or will it be the very thing that destroys them?
