The apocalypse didn't arrive with angels or demons. It arrived with blue screens and tutorial boxes, turning Earth into a cosmic experiment called an "Uplifting." John Smith, engineering grad student, chain-smoker, and unwilling family good luck charm, gets more than most: a personal System Administrator. Now he's fighting goblins in his apartment building, his friend is dead, and apparently Earth is a "death world" undergoing an "Uplifting" whatever the hell that means. Oh, and he's got a snarky cosmic entity living in his head who's convinced he's going to become the most powerful person on the planet. Welcome to the System. Evolve or die. No refunds. John's going to need a lot more than luck. For fans of stories with LGBTQ themes, we now update every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 3pm PDT
