by Count Montello
As Kaladhen stands on the precipice of his dreams, he is betrayed by a dear friend. His survival is a secret known to none but himself. He will stop at nothing to bring about vengeance on those who stole years of his life, and from them answer a single question: Why? But what comes from the consequences of such a single-minded pursuit? What lives are changed, lost, and abandoned for one man’s quest? The path of vengeance injures those along it. The injured seek retribution. On and on wanders anger, hate, and revenge, stealing more into its wake. And in the midst of it all, few care to notice the darkness seeping from across the sea.
