Being a magical girl doesn’t pay, but being her rival might. Between working unpaid shifts at her mother's failing diner and struggling her way through senior year, Luc works as Magical Girl Gadget. In the middle of Luc's most recent job, the new magical girl shows up, scalps her job, and declares herself as Luc's rival. Luc ignores it, until the commissioner gives her an offer she can't refuse. Luc doesn't have star power, but Marie does. He'll enter them side by side into the influencer fund, and pay her to be his daughter's rival.
