Ash Crow

With an assassination attempt, James's dreams of fame and fortune are cut short. Ashfall, a mysterious city built around portals to a fantasy world where System powers are handed out like candy, is nothing more than another capitalist hell. His would-be killers turn out to be members of the police force, all of them gifted with powers, just like him. And his most reliable ally is his reincarnated lover… or at least that's what she believes, keeping it a secret even from him. Perhaps she's simply insane. Perhaps she, too, is only looking out for herself.
