When Merlin sundered the world, splitting the magical from the mundane, he made a small mistake. He copied everything over as it was, to create the same world for wixen to live in. But in his great copying, he also copied over the bodies of all mundane people and creatures - but not their souls. That night, they rose as undead, and the world has never known peace since. Camelot. Arthur's castle. The name echoes through history and legend. It is now an institution for teaching fine young wixen about magic. But magic is not a safe art to learn. Human bones in the library spell out the words 'More, Please' in a long-dead language. Challenge rooms are perfectly safe, as long as the lights are green. The vaults stretch endlessly beneath the castle, promising wealth and power to those willing to dare their depths. And the Fields of Camlann are right outside the castle, the foul curses and magics cast a millennia ago still strong. Felix has never held a wand, ridden a broom, or cheered wildly at a game of stavolux. He knows no spells, hasn't ridden a hydra, and has never gotten into an accident with a potion. All this changes when Paracelsus, the Immortal Alchemist, breaks into Felix's home to declare the four words that would change his life forever."You're a wizard, Felix."Erik Morsin has barely heard of the mundane world. Groomed and prepared to be the next Duke of Ireland, in the Kingdom of Logres, he is a member of the most hated family in King Arthur's nation. Given his druthers, he'd do nothing but lock himself in a room to play his violin. These two boys will meet at the world famous Camelot College of Casting and Charmwork, where they'll spend the next eight years delving into the secrets of magic, performing forbidden rituals at midnight, making eyes at pretty witches, and maybe, just maybe, somewhere in the middle, learn a little bit. We can only hope. Speaking of witches. Alexandria Renard has been horrifically scarred by her engagement to Erik Morsin, both emotionally and physically. No matter that she is tarred with the same brush as the hated Morsin family, she will become the most powerful witch in history, determined to eclipse Morgana Le Fay herself. Hazel Winslow managed to escape from a cult, but has nowhere to go. Fortunately, her mind control superpowers gives her enough of a leg up to accomplish her lifelong dream of being left alone. Sora Park is an orphan in the wrong part of the world, best friends with Erik. A comedic turn of circumstances replaced most of her brain cells with “broom must go fast”. Last, but not least, Vivian Merryweather wears her heart on her well-decorated and color-coordinated sleeve, with a talent for gossip that borders on the supernatural. These six will attend Camelot together, but face a challenge. Only five can bond together as a coven, dedicating their lives and magics to each other. Who will be left behind? Song of the Gift Giver (abbreviation: Song) is a mild litrpg set in a magic school setting. It’s planned to be 8 books in total. Current release schedule is “whatever I can manage”. I’m not committing to anything because right now I’m writing 7-8 full length chapters a week. Patreon is at least 7 chapters ahead, and I hope to get it to 20 ahead. I’m asked this a lot - it’s not a M/M story. There will be romance of a sort. Nothing explicit. The story is on the darker end of the scale

Traffic is strong, but conversion trails comparable stories. The usual suspects are the blurb, the cover and the opening chapters — fixing the hook multiplies everything the existing traffic brings.
