Sebrandt was sent to the mines to be forgotten. Instead, it made him a murderer. When a glimmer of hope for a better life is ripped away by a grotesque horror and corrupt guards, Sebrandt—a destitute peasant—has had enough of life underfoot. He rallies his surviving crewmates and convinces them to break free from the pits.  Their escape goes tragically wrong and Sebrandt is condemned to fight in Bylegog—a wasteland crawling with Sickness-spreading horrors where a single scratch turns a warrior into monster. To survive this deadly realm, endure the sentinels' unforgiving training, and rise above his past, Sebrandt will court both heroism and villainy before the end. Broken Stones is a grimdark fantasy with progression, war/military, and psychological themes. While the story follows a sole MC, Signal sections between Chapters occasionally add different POVs relevant to backstory and plot.
