The Age of Spring [A Multiple POV dystopian drama]

The year is 2249, the year the most infamous rebel group, Twin Blades, returns. Behind the security of a protected encampment called Amal, the Supremacy is unable to thwart whatever Twin Blades is planning.That is until a small group of young rebels called Spring sets fire to an abandoned airport. As irrelevant as the fire seems to both the Supremacy and the rebels, it gives the Supremacy exactly what it wants. Spring is an immature rebel group of young adults who drink too much, pester the Supremacy more than they actually fight it, and sometimes prioritize their relationship problems over their missions. Emi is one of Spring's co-leaders. Her knowledge and experience make her one of its strongest members, helping keep their camp standing and their missions successful. But a dark cloud follows her everywhere. PTSD has a nasty habit of rearing its head when she needs to make difficult decisions, putting both herself and the people around her at risk. Miles is Spring's other co-leader, devising their plans of attack against the Supremacy. Unfortunately, his heart tends to lead his head. Between that and his impulsive nature, he makes some mistakes he can't take back. If only he had better timing when bringing up his relationship issues with Emi. Pablo never wanted to be part of Spring. He was "forced" into it because, as Miles's best friend, someone had to protect Miles from making stupid choices. Everyone in Spring is fucking stupid. Stupid stupid stupid. Except for Pablo. Kai isn't a member of Spring. In fact, he's on the complete opposite side of it. Unlike the dirty, starving Inerts living in the lower city, Amal, and Spring's camp, Kai is a Vocate who lives a life of luxury. He runs track for fun, attends Zafran's community college, and plays video games. Spring is the last of his concerns.Until Emi shows up at his front door and smoke from the airport fire fogs up the city. This is the story of Spring. Heavy character focus — Similar to Arcane in its focus on different characters and their struggles, but it sits with their thoughts and inner struggles for much longer. We follow:  multiple Rebels, an assassin, a firefighter, a Supremacy officer, and a Supremacy general, all with different goals. Rebellion plot — There’s an oppressive divide between social classes, where some citizens are given privileges others aren’t. The Supremacy enforces that divide, and the rebels are fighting against it. Pretty classic rebellion stuff. Romance plot — This story focuses heavily on the characters’ inner struggles, and relationships are a big part of that for some POVs. There are slow-burn M/F and M/M relationships. The main story refrains from sexually explicit material, although there is suggestive content. Flashbacks — Intentionally placed. I have a lot of fun with these. Character extras — Every chapter ends with a little something extra from its POV character. Pablo's are particularly fun to write. Side Stories — I am now slipping in side stories I have written to give readers more to read for backstory and/or character intrigue. Sexually explicit content is only in the side stories. Chapter size: Most chapters are between 1,600-2,500 words with a few exceptions of those over and under.
