For thousands of years, humanity has fought to survive them. For peace, they said, against the dreaded dragons of Aetheria. But truly the pride of winning a horde had consumed their minds. Jade, the princess of Elsinora has always known that truth. She just never thought she would become am intricate part of it. A pawn, with no choice but to marry a wicked King who is desperate to bring forth a male heir to save his own line. With her hands bound, she must do what is necessary to help her kingdom from its debt, and spare them a bloody war. Her heart spirals, when the smallest spark of hope to escape it catches her attention. The line between enemy and fate has begun to blur… when she saves the life of a man washed upon the shore of Opal lake. But it will soon become the least of her worries.
