A Band of Dead Men [Grimdark] [Fantasy]

The King is dead, long live the King. The Kingdom of Baidon is at war. Blood and corpses will litter the ground like seeds before long. Wealth and money await those that survive, a shallow grave for those that don't. Fenris Whiteeyes, the mercenary archer, lives in a world of blood and grudges. He’ll get a pretty payday if he survives this war, but he’s got something more in his life now. The fool met someone just before his odds of survival were at their worst. The Priest Miertaz has lost his path and shaken his faith. Violence and danger don’t make finding his way back any easier, and that’s if he even still believes in the redemption he preaches. Einer Smashednose, the grizzled commander, is fighting an old foe and losing his nerve. The enemy seems to know his every move. Can he think of a plan? Or should he just start digging his own grave? A haggard mercenary, a priest who's questioning his faith and a commander that’s lost his nerve. A sorry sight.
