No mercy.  Short premise:  A physics student dies in a terrorist attack.  He’s reborn in a cruel, magical world filled with violence, hunger, and fear.  He’s a child now — poor, unwanted, and surrounded by danger.  But he’s smart. Careful. Observant.  And slowly, step by step, he starts to adapt.
