When one prospers, another curses. The city-states of the Shongmanians thrived, while the nomads toiled. Envious of their neighbors, the nomads united under the Kanajin Horde and staged the rapid conquest of the Shongmanians; half the cities were destroyed, and the surviving ones were enslaved. Death and destruction spread all across the continent. Decades later, the invincible horde has fallen on hard times. Now decadent and corrupt, its leaders struggle to maintain control of the continent. Seeing opportunity at last, a former hostage of the Horde travels to the vassal states to begin a revolt against the tyrannical Horde and end the nomadic yoke. Update: Rewrite ongoing, with new chapters every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday! If you want, you can read the legacy volume; the rewrite will mostly follow with more details and continue past it. There is also a side story: Rise of the Kanajin Horde depicts events decades before the main story and doesn't have the same characters as the main story. I have no plans to rewrite that section, but I might continue it, but main story will take priority.

Traffic and conversion both sit mid-field for a story this size. Growth here compounds from consistency: steady cadence feeds traffic, and a sharper hook lifts what each view is worth.
