Lex was a basement dwelling, caffeine fueled, MMO junkie with zero real world accomplishments and a level 80 necromancer he was weirdly proud of. One unlucky night, Lex dies, chokes on a chicken nugget while arguing in chat. Lame as hell. Instead of the afterlife, he wakes up as a ghost, tethered to the city he lived in. He’s now part of the Haunting System, a bizarre, half-broken LitRPG framework that tracks XP from tormenting the living, learning ghost powers, and causing supernatural mayhem. His best friend Miles is stuck dealing with Portland’s magical underbelly: soul-harvesting cults, hipster necromancers, vape-shop warlocks, and consumer electronics that definitely shouldn’t be possessed but absolutely are. Lex might be dead.Miles is in over his head. And the game isn’t over it’s just getting weirder.
