**schedule** is 6 am PDT on Fridays. See you guys then! Datrea is a city at the pinnacle of arcane mastery. Its very walls sing with magic and by night's end, it will all come crumbling down. The blacksmiths of Datrea foresee their doom and in the last hours of their glorious city, they forge a cursed sword to wreak vengeance upon the living: a blade that can think and learn and grow more powerful with every life it consumes. Everyone who sees it wants to possess it. Everyone who touches it is doomed. The world will tear itself apart to have it. But Bonesong doesn’t want to be a harbinger of doom. Convinced that it can protect a little girl, the sentient sword is desperate to outwit the curse woven into its steel and do something constructive, something good, no matter how many wielders die along the way. What to expect: +vengeance of all flavors: hasty and elaborate, hot and cold, quick and cruelly slow, +an amount of war crimes that would make the Geneva Convention weep +fast paced action +rich music based magic system to absorb +moral dilemmas +psychological warfare and manipulation +psychological horror…and body horror…and cosmic horror (but this isn’t really a horror story) +terrible people getting much worse +terrible people becoming slightly better +abuse of many kinds: parental, domestic, animal, substance etc. +reference to sex, but no explicit sexual content Bonesong has power progression (it's a sword that gets stronger with each kill), but as it isn’t the primary focus of the story, I chose not to tag it because I do not want to mislead. If you think the progression is enough to tag it as a progression story, please let me know and I will update it. Amazing Cover by Laura Eileen Taylor!
