Open your eyes, Alessandre. Do you see what others cannot? 'Nay... Let him not see. For that which beholdeth thee shall, in turn, behold him.'
Do you hear the night murmuring? Do you feel the lull of the sky? The grasp of the sea? 'Nay, let him sleep. Hath the world not begun to seek thee? No longer man shall he.'
Do not wander, or you may sink.'And if he standeth still, shall the abyss forget him?'
Who's singing that lullaby at the edge of your dreams? 'And who taught thee it was but a lullaby?'
What's that voice from the gaps of your memory? 'Who, then, placed those gaps therein?'
Listen - can you hear it? 'Thou art heard already.'
The wailing beneath the waves...The eyes above the clouds...The flesh of the land?'And thou askest if the world liveth?'
Mind you, Alessandre.'Take heed.'
Not all cries wish to be heard. 'And who art thou to discern which do?'
Not all eyes want to be stared back at.'Wouldst thou have them know thy face?'
The sick pigs are less good for meat.'Know well, I advise thee, He who keepeth the sty.'
This is a warning, brother.
When you feel "their" tempting voices gnawing at your eardrums, when the "world" extends its sickly arms towards you, pleading...'Wouldst thou pity the butcher when it weepeth?'
Open your eyes, but do not see. Close them, but do not sleep. Listen, but do not heed.'What remaineth of a man who seeth not, sleepeth not, and heedeth not?'
Do not seek what this "world" tries to hide, because you will soon realise- there is no world.
