What Remains of a Kingdom

A kingdom betrayed. A prince burned from history. A woman who carries the moon’s hunger in her blood. Twelve years after the fall of House Vexmere, Corrin survives as a nameless knight, his lineage buried beneath ash, scars, and steel. The rebellion that killed his father left more than ruins and it taught him that honor is a weapon others use against the weak. Now he serves only his own quiet vow: to reclaim what was stolen, no matter the cost. Then he meets Loona. A wandering traveler with fire in her eyes and a past she refuses to name. She is dangerous in ways Corrin cannot yet name. Too quick to react. Too calm when the dark closes in. Too familiar with the things that hunt the roads at night. Wherever she travels, violence seems to follow. Wherever she pauses too long, the air grows heavy. As enemies close in and secrets claw their way to the surface, Corrin is forced to choose between the knight he pretends to be and the heir he swore he would become. And Loona must decide whether to keep running… or let the truth tear everything apart. What Remains of a Kingdom is a dark fantasy/adventure of broken oaths and rising monsters, where honor erodes under pressure, power demands sacrifice, and love may prove more lethal than any blade. Note: I am trying to avoid most pitfalls that seems to be in every fantasy story lately and make it more relatable to the reader when able. Some pitfalls may be unavoidable though. Currently my wife does my editing, but the eventual goal is to hire an actual editor to eliminate it entirely. ALSO, I WILL BE REWRITING CHAPTER 3-7. Do one massive edit and search for possible rewrites, plot falls, and make sure my characters correctly reflect how I wish them to be.  Once Im satisfied, send to a read editor for final revision and hopefully publish.
