Forsaken. Cursed. Hunted. Thanks to his clan's bloodline, Ro Ishin was born spiritually crippled, unable to cultivate. Through desperate measures, his mother found a method to form his first chakra. A method that cursed Ishin into a life of hardship. When forces from the shadows hunt his remaining family, it sets Ishin on a quest for vengeance, answers, and power. Who is hunting him? Why did his clan forsake him? What is the origin of his bloodline? All cultivators must walk their own Immortal Path. Ro Ishin's will be paved with carnage. [Fans of Cradle, Against the Gods, Martial World, and xianxia/cultivation stories will enjoy this story. New chapters will be published every Monday and Wednesday (except for all US holidays) at 4:04 PM CT] What to Expect: A practical and morally grey MC who isn’t afraid to be ruthless An action-packed adventure (not slice of life) with realistic fight scenes A gradually expanding cast of characters that are all unique (both male and female) Occasional chapters from different POVs. Most are from Ishin's perspective but there are several from other characters too. An expansive world with a variety of diverse settings A consistent power system (not LITRPG) No harem The introduction and resolution of mysteries A responsive author (if you leave a comment in a chapter that you want me to respond to, state so, and I will) Volume 1 (The Mortal Proving) has been completed and volume 2 (The Crimson Abyss Sect) is currently being published.
