The health of the ex-mercenary Marek Blakesley is in constant eclipse. Years of hunting for a cure for his ailment have led him into a beast whose jaws are rows of snowy mountains that expel a maelstrom of sheer cold that shakes the bones. That beast goes by the name of the Frostscape — the Everfrozen Land. Its maws are home to a myriad of animals, a legion of monsters, ancient evils yet to be unburied, and one of the last remaining aspects of the World — a Wyrm, that by a dirty turn of fate bears the cure of the aforementioned sellsword. The solitary warrior may have begun the journey alone, ready to stand fearless against the forces of nature, but the northern winds of destiny hold other plans as it sends forth a curious entity in the man’s path: a humanoid chimera, half owl, half wolf; an oddity even for the Frostscape’s harsh standards. Skim through this tale’s pages and spectate as the unusual duo venture into Gebaten’s most frozen region to face the many dangers lurking hidden, at the same time they develop a relationship that may transcend the human-monster boundary.
