A young, American man struggling with abandonment trauma is court ordered to draft into the Army and serve in the first world war where he is unprepared for the horrors of death and survival on the battlefield, as well as in his own mind. He fights alongside his fellow doughoy's against the German and Ottoman Army in the Trenches, while the chances of survival seemed bleak and death seemed like the only way out....
