by Remnar the Magnificent
In a world where a person's Class dictates their future, Dwayne “Otter” Bennett is an anomaly. Born with painfully average stats, except a staggering Luck of 18, he was never offered a Class. Now, he faces a life of mediocrity—until a letter from his missing father hints at secrets hidden within the prestigious Adventurers' Academy. When an unexpected opportunity lands in his lap, Otter seizes his last chance to prove himself, securing a spot in the Academy. But it is a ruthless place, and surviving the trials means facing skilled rivals, dangerous secrets, and a System designed to leave people like him behind. As Otter pushes forward, his Luck begins manifesting in strange ways, leading him to rumors of hidden Classes and a relic that responds to his presence in bizarre ways. During a simulation test in the ruins beneath the Academy, a real Kaosborn manifests, turning a controlled exam into a deadly fight for survival. In the aftermath, Otter learns that he, and his extraordinary Luck, may be the key to restructuring the System. For better...or worse.
