Fate is a fickle thing. Mir is a seventeen-year-old demon boy living at a human village at the edge of Za'lim. He is unwanted and has no family. But, one day, his village burns, and he is forced to leave. He doesn't know what to do or where to go. However, he gets swept up by a Paladin who forces him to follow her.
