System Smash: Compound Universes {Depreciated}

System Smash: Compound Universes {Depreciated}

New fic up soon. Remake of this one. A Progression Fantasy, Inspired By The Systems From Many Popular Stories! On the night of the best Christmas of her life Luna Alicea Gonzalez saw a blue floating message box appear in front of her. She has read enough stories to get an idea of what it means.  “You must become He Who Fights With Monsters, the core of Defiance of The Fall. In all 10 Realms of The Land, from the Underworld to a Reborn: Apocalypse, you must walk The Path of Ascension. Even in this Life in Exile, you must gain All The Skills. Everyone Loves Large Chests was not easy to work into this message, but as it was formulated by your unconscious mind this is on you.” Luna stared at the notification, oh so utterly confused. —------------ This story has the main character’s abilities come from stories they ( and I ) have read in the past. All of the series whose mechanics will be blatantly stolen/augmented are in the initial setup. You need not know anything about those systems to understand this story, it simply gives you more of an idea of what is coming later in the story.  This story is a purely self indulgent take on a story I wish to put much more seriousness into later on. This story and its general outline is entirely based on maladaptive daydreams I have been having for the last few months. It’s to the point where I think that I can write it and be moderately satisfied with it all. I hope to use this as a way to train my writing skills as I go through college.  —------------ What to Expect? - A trans main character and LGBTQ+ elements and characters! - A LitRPG/Progression Fantasy/Wuxia story with heavy inspiration taken from other popular stories - Base building, and growth of a large communityFactions fighting over what remains of the world after the Apocalypse - Deep exploration of the power systems within to become as powerful as possible Cover made by @kudaalrajhi on twitter!

Both levers trail the field

Traffic and conversion are both below comparable stories. Cadence is the first lever — stories posting near-daily reached 25 followers 17% of the time; stories posting every few days almost never did. Get the flow going, then re-check conversion.

Benchmarks: 8,060 active Royal Road stories, percentiles within the 20–49 chapters band, cohort of 2026-07-02. Conversion is measured as followers gained per 1,000 views over the recent window.
